General Update

Well I finally sold my RC helicopter.
I know I hadn't had it too long, but as much as I loved flying it I soon came to realise that the £100+ bill and 2 weeks of work every time you misjudge the landing/plummet it into the ground was a bit of a drag. Still, I enjoyed it while it lasted.

I may have spent some of the proceeds of the sale on a second hand Canon EOS 30D SLR camera though. I've always fancied a decent camera and what with the possibility of going on safari for our honeymoon, and seeing this one being advertised nearly new for a fair bit less than anywhere else I decided to go for it.
Should be arriving tomorrow!

In other news, the garden is looking great - we've done a lot of work on it in the past year and it's really paying off. The lawn is lovely and flat and we have huge tomato plants, lots of strawberries, brussel sprouts, peas and lettuce, and leeks, peppers and squashes to come as soon as they're big enough to leave the greenhouse. Also the chickens are settling in well - they've stopped squabbling and Kimberly (the brown ranger) is developing a real personality. She's happy to see you when you come up to the coop, lets you hold her and has given us an egg a day so far. Annabel is still a bit timid but she's getting better. As for our cats, Pixel is scared of them and Ash ignores them.
