Crappy day
Last night my computer went through a painful, drawn out and dramatic death.
Have spent most of the morning trying to convince the bank I have my mortgage with to loan me a little bit of money to buy a new one. It's not that my credit isn't good, it's just that because of where I live I have to have all this extra stuff I have to provide before they will approve. They need a copy of my insurance from the insurance company, to say my house is fully covered should it fall down; and I need to provide a copy of the scope of works for my house from the EQC showing the damage.
It's all very annoying considering there's hardly any damage, and the house is worth nearly $200,000 more than I have to pay off my mortgage.
It would have been easier to get an overdraft, they were prepared to give me that straight away, but I don't want an overdraft. That seems like a good way to get myself permenantly into debt and never able to climb back into the black again. They were also willinging to up the limit on my credit card immediately. Again, a good way to get myself permenantly in debt.
