Just finished mowing the weeds. Grass really would be lovely at some point :) Friday night we went to Suz & Franco's to celebrate r_is_for_rose's b-day. We had pancakes, bacon, and tons of fresh fruit for dinner (yes, dinner), and a mocha buttercream cake for dessert. Yum! We played a very fun game called 'Apples to Apples' (available at your local Target) and spent a nice evening together.
Yesterday afternoon, S & I picked up S's longtime friend, A, to go bowling at Strike Bethesda. Despite whatever curse we had that caused our first lane to stop working properly and the second lane to lose power for a few minutes, we had fun bowling our two games. Poor S seemed most adept at getting gutter balls, but A and I engaged in fierce competition (ok, maybe not 'fierce' so much as friendly). I ended up winning with scores of 112 and 143 :) We went to Ben & Jerry's afterwards before bidding farewell to A.
Last night we went to S's parents' house for the first Passover seder. I think the number of people totalled 16, which meant a super-long table and a lively dinner. The seder itself was short and sweet which was nice because I've been to some LONG seders and sitting and listening to Hebrew for 3 hours is no party. I was pleased with last night's and we have our second tonight, same time, same place. Pictures on that to come tomorrow, but for now...

Presenting the cake (with rainbow flame candles! ooh, aah)
