C'est si bon

Friday night we had dinner with C+T at our local lebanese restaurant. I still don't take it for granted that we can walk to these kinds of places from our house. After the meal, we went to a dog park that's close by. C+T's dog is 5 months old and a ball of energy who didn't stop playing the entire time we were there. On the opposite end of the spectrum was Hazel who didn't appreciate dogs getting up in her face and asked either me or S to pick her up on several occasions. But otherwise, I think she mostly enjoyed herself. lol. Much to see and sniff, and people to meet. She's definitely a "people" dog, not a "dog's" dog.

On Saturday morning through afternoon, we painted two and a half walls in our house. The half a wall had a good stopping place and would've required more work than we could afford at that point. But we successfully painted the wall that we had work done on like, 7 months ago. lol. Nothing like a little procrastination. Feeling accomplished, we relaxed for a bit and then went out to dinner with B+L to a Japanese restaurant in Bethesda called Tako Grill. It was delicious, and the two of us that enjoyed sushi (S and B) were able to get a nice variety.

Sunday morning we went out for crepes at Cafe Bonaparte in Georgetown. There, we dined on the most delicious coffee and sweet crepes and pretended we were in a cafe in Paris. Doesn't hurt to dream. Later in the day we took a nice, long walk in Centennial Lake Park...the lake circuit was slightly over 3 miles (and Hazel miraculously walked the whole thing!) In the evening, I offered some mild assistance while S whipped us up some pasta from scratch. There was enough pasta to feed 6 people, but unfortunately our neighbor friends were not home. Oh well!
