Pretty good stuff
This may be interesting to those of you who have watched this season of Top Chef. Tonight, S & I joined some friends and went to one of the contestant's (Spike's) new restaurant in DC- Good Stuff Eatery. The line wasn't too bad once we got there, but after a while, it went out there door and by the time we left, it went down the sidewalk. I got a burger with cheddar cheese, fried onion rings, and bacon. S got one with pickled daikon, carrots, mint, basil and spicy mayo. Both burgers were yummy (although I think Red Robin is better) We shared the herbed fries which were delicious, especially with all the dipping sauces. Then the best part were the milkshakes though highly unfortunately, they were out of the toasted marshmallow shake. I got dulce de leche which was like drinking caramel, and S got strawberry. All in all, we had a nice time, and we even got to chat a little bit with Spike. I'm slightly ashamed to admit this, but I was a little starstruck which is funny cause I didn't like Spike on the show. But there's something exciting about seeing a tv show personality in front of your face...literally. Here's a pic S snapped with her camera phone:
