She's my cherry pie

Our punishment for taking Hazel to the dog park and trying to make her swim was when we woke up on Saturday morning, one of her eyes was swollen shut. We rushed to the vet and found out she had a scratched cornea (could've been because of another dog or sand or who knows). So now we have to give the poor thing eye drops as many times a day as we can, which on Saturday and Sunday was like, 6 times. She doesn't trust either of us now. lol. At least it'll be over by Thursday.

Still, we managed to have some fun this weekend. On Saturday afternoon, we met my parents at Linganore winery for wine tastings and a picnic. As soon as we set up at a picnic table outside, it started to rain, so we picked up the table and moved it under a pavilion, then proceeded to have a picnic while being shielded by the summer shower. Quite nice actually. We bought 3 bottles before heading home.

Yesterday we went to the farmer's market (4 out of 4, haven't missed one yet!) and bought blueberries, tart cherries, peaches, a scone, and fish (the fish seller was a guest this weekend). At home, I did yardwork and cleaning while S baked, and later in the evening, B+L and Suz+Franco came over for dinner. We decided not to eat outside since the mosquitos were deadly, and enjoyed our salad, bread, wine, corn, steak, and delicious cherry pie indoors.

Now I have to get back to work. It's going to be a busy, but thankfully shorter week.
