Holy tomatoes!
Sadly, there appears to be a tomato crisis happening in America- salmonella, do not eat tomatoes under pain of death, and all that jazz.
We purchased 4 tiny tomato plants about 3 weeks ago:
We mixed up fortified soil with the dirt that was there and gently planted our new babies. A week in, we put a couple food spikes next to each plant.
Now they are BIG! So big, S had to buy this cage for them to grow around:
And today we saw our first tomatoes!!
So exciting. We're hoping soon to have this:
