Just keep swimming
I haven't been "posty" lately. Things have been moving along fairly smoothly and uneventfully. I've been interviewing candidates as part of a search committee for a position in our department this week....5 of them. The one we're excited about we don't think we're going to be able to hire because of a VISA issue, so that sucks. I really don't want to bring someone on the team without feeling that they can successfully handle the job and jive well with the rest of us. We unfortunately didn't get much of a pool to choose from though.
This week S & I have been enjoying the warm weather by eating dinners outside and laying in the hammock. We celebrated a friend's birthday at a small dinner gathering which was nice. And when it stops raining, we're planning on planting some tomato and pea plants in the yard. I'm totally excited about being able to pick and eat fresh garden tomatoes. Yum!
Not much else to tell right now. Things seem quiet in the rest of the LJ world, too...or is it me?
