DURING pics:
Day 1...wall demolition. Please note that the flooring on the bottom half is black, and the top half is dark green.
I like to call this "the magical floating electrical box." Note the hideous ceiling fan.
Big plastic sheets hung from the ceiling. The dust did not care.
Day 2...the frame was built. New ceiling fan installed.
The evening of Day 2 was when we pulled out the rest of the carpeting. Kind of looks like a sunset behind the plastic.
Note the little, lone face mask. And that brown stuff on the floor? Dust from the disintegrating carpet pad. Mmmm!
Day 3- the floor is down! No molding yet. Our L-shaped couch performs yoga.
Perhaps my favorite picture of the bunch- what our kitchen looked like for 2 days. I had to knock down the pillow castle to get to the coffee in the pantry though.
