The tummy goes "grrrr"

Again, today was filled with report madness. It is 3pm and we just sent it to the client. 4 of us missed lunch, including yours truly. I told my boss I'm leaving early today because of that and yesterday, when I came into work for a half hour. Yeah, you read right. On a Sunday, which is completely against my moral code, but I did it to save myself some stress today. It didn't completely work, but it helped. Anyway, things seem calm at the moment. I may have just jinxed myself.

The weekend was nice. Friday night it was rainy so we did a little shopping and then stayed in to watch Ratatouille, a very cute movie. Saturday was dreary again and we hung around the house all day, which normally would be boring, but after the week we've had, was positively wonderful. There was tv, Scrabble, noshing, and cuddling galore.

On Sunday, when the weather improved, we went to the Takoma Park farmer's market. There we had much success and purchased fresh rosemary bread, homemade blue cheese & pecan ravioli, mini eggplants, garlic & sundried tomato goat cheese, a sugar pumpkin, a giant yam, and a gallon of apple cider. Then I stopped into work on our way home and later on we drove to Virginia to have dinner with S's family and our extended family (B+L, Suz+Franco). We chatted, played Apples to Apples, and indulged in a put-it-together-yourself stir fry.

weekends, family, food, work
