Baron's Howe

I had a wonderful time at Baron's Howe!  The drive there was beautiful, the days were warm and sunny with a gentle breeze and plenty of shade in our wonderful camp with all the comforts created by buttongirl and
green_ogre .  We were fed by the preparations of ilanikhan whose cooking was fantastic (I think I dreamt about the chicken last night).

The nights were cold and I suffered tent failure and so kindly taken in by ilanikhan.  Now I am fairly certain that for next summer I'll be camping in a viking A-frame.  Court offered some surprises, particalarly for
j_v_lynch .

Sunday siglinde99 arrived and we helped set up her tent.  That evening the omens in the sky sent us to visit Petria Thule.  Monday I helped siglinde99 break down camp with plans of caravaning back to Ottawa.  I was introduced to members of DARC and got to chat about tents, poles and many other things and was extended an invitation to camp with them (bounce, bounce, kermit flail, bounce).  Now I'm trying to think of how I might manage to get myself to L'Anse aux Meadows next summer.
