Is it July yet
I'm very much sick of the cold and ice. I need warmer weather and clean sidewalks. Until then I'm thinking forward to Pennsic. I want to teach at Pennsic University this year, just because :) and it is also on my A&S 50 list. So I've thought of two possible classes, ideally I would like to teach both. The first would be an overview of nettles and their historical uses. This subject I can jabber on about and possibly bore people to tears :) The second I'm thinking of would be a more advanced naalbinding class designed to teach those who know the basics and one or two stitches more options. As part of this I have to learn a bunch myself :) I also want to be able to sort out learning the code for the stitch guides. This week I stayed up too late watching naalbinding videos on YouTube and have figured out Broden stitch.
In the end I want to create a resource page that references the stitch, code, photo of work, video of how to do it and examples of artifacts. There's nothing like geeking out over some fibre arts to chase off some of the winter blues.
