While Jay and I were wandering the floor of the NRA convention we stopped by the Charter Arms booth. The young woman there was super excited to see two gents from Massachusetts, and let us know that they were working hard at getting guns on the mass approved firearms roster, and that the .44 Bulldog was already available for sale.
Jay started asking some questions, and she called her Dad over. "Dad" happened to be Nick Ecker, the President of Charter Arms. He was more than happy to walk Jay and I through all the bullshit he waded through to get his guns sold in Mass. Jay has a good write up here:
http://stuckinmassachusetts.blogspot.com/2010/05/cost-of-doing-gun-business.html We need more gun makers like Charter Arms. Also I was actually impressed by the look and feel of their guns. They're not as nice as S&W who they would be directly competing with, but for how much cheaper they are, they're worth a look if you're on a budget!
