Whatever happened to innocence?

Ryan and I found all these pedophiles and 14-or-less year olds with nude/semi nude pics on myspace. Some of the girls couldn't have been older than 10. They had 50 year old guys commenting telling them in explicit detail what they wanted to do to them.

What the hell ever happened to innocence? It's like vibrators and nipple clamps are being handed out in fucking 3rd grade now. All of it makes me angry: the girls who think it's cool, the parents/adults who allow it, and especially the bastard men and women who think it's so God damn hot when they see a 13 year old trying to be a porn star.

We all feed in to it, myself included. One of the "sexiest" outfits is the school girl uniform. Why?...because it's off limits...because we're not supposed to. Because to once so controversial book Lolita is now an all too familiar story. What girl didn't have a full grown man who wanted her at some point.

It's always fine when we're young. We want to be sexy, to be older. It's even fine as we become adults, and proundly/definatly done our plaid skirts, and take sexual pictures with lolly pops, but then we see others doing it. Our daughters, sisters, nieces and friends sisters. One hundred million random girls dying to be accepted by being young and sexy, innocent, but naughty. But they still are innocent, and by turning the other cheek because we were there once upon a time, is allowing them to rape and leave to die their own childhood, just as we did ours.
