OOC: Just an app, nothing sinister..

Though a complex individual, Le Chiffre can be summarised with one simple word: Calculating.

Known to be a mathematical genius, much of his enjoyment comes from games of probability, poker being a favourite of his and one where he can show off the best of his skills. Whilst sticking to logical ideas and outcomes more often than not, Le Chiffre can be known to let his ego get the better of him.

Working as a private banker to world terrorists, Le Chiffre has access to large sums of money that aren't his own. Proving to be as untrustworthy as he looks, whilst managing to believe that he was entirely infallible, this personal banker bets off his client's money to stock markets. His most recent and last attempt at this was betting over $100,000,000 against the market and planning to short the stock by means of explosives, even continuing with knowledge that the authorities were out to prevent his actions. It all goes very wrong after that. No surprises there.

Insane? Just a little.

He's obviously not struggling for cash, and is always seen in some expensive suit or shirt. Usually all black. Because that's what villains like to wear. And what James Bond villain would be complete without some unusual deformity? Not Le Chiffre, that's for sure, because his most definitive physical trait is a small scar over his left eye, while the eye itself is a milky blue that's occasionally seen to literally weep blood.

Though he admittedly appears to be quite the cookie cutter James Bond bad-guy, Le Chiffre is so much more. Cunning, smug, scheming, paranoid, skilful, well-connected, manipulative and a vast number of other adjectives, he has stepped beyond the 2D realms of previous villains, avoiding all the rubbish of tying the hero up above a pool of sharks whilst monologuing. As memorable and lovable as those baddies were, this bad-guy is real and believable with weaknesses and superiors, being far less of a villain and much more of a man saving his own skin after screwing up.

Evil is in the bleeding eye of the beholder, so they say. Or so I say.
