the next chapter begins

i'm done with high school! i'm really happy to be done, but it's kind of a surreal feeling. i always looked longingly towards graduation as a 9th, 10th, and 11th grader. although i am really glad high school is over with, i am really going to miss a lot of people - graduates and students who will be returning to uprep next year. you have all changed into who i am today, and i really can't thank all of you enough for that.

a lot of my friends are already leaving, too. chris leaves for japan tomorrow, and he's gonna be gone the entire summer. aditya is in california right now. i'm not going to be in seattle much from the beginning of july through the end of august. it's really sad, but i guess that's what happens. i hope everyone who i am friends with is able to keep in touch (you know who you are).

after the all night graduation party (which was a lot of fun), i started my job on wednesday. i'm working in my mom's office, and i basically organize medical records, move boxes between the two floors of the office, and do stuff that needs to be done. i'm enjoying it, actually, because i'm doing something different everyday so it keeps me interested, and the pay is good for an 18 year old high school graduate ($10 an hour). i'm gonna end up working 30-40 hour weeks through at least the end of june, which will add up to some pretty good money.

this is my summer schedule, so if you wanna hang out, it's gotta be pretty soon:

july 1-7: trip to oregon for shakespeare festival with the fam
july 14-26: going to brazil for a choir tour
july 30-august 8: backpacking with the fam in the sierra nevada
august 12-20: an outdoor orientation program through hamilton
august 28: i leave for london

and i work monday-friday at my mom's office, which cuts down on my free time even more. but i gotta make some money before travelling abroad.
