Music and my bro

I'm not sure he knows it, but my brother's had a really profound influence on my life. Growing up, and sometimes even now depending on what the subject is, i'd determine the truth of my mom's opinion based on the look on his face, his reaction or by what he said.

I like to think I've influenced my wee brother a bit... certainly music-wise anyway. Having a sibling with similar musical tastes has its advantages... *steals CDs*

As for people who've influenced me... well, The Beatles (lame but true). They've helped shape my musical tastes: ater I got into them I was turned onto all this other 60s music... which led me nicely onto the 60s influenced garage-rock bands of today/indie/bands who've been influenced by The Beatles (that'll be most of em then...!).

Hehe... and getting lifts off his friend's parents when you go to concerts! Think i've asked you before but d'you think he listens to the same stuff as you coz you influenced him or did it just happen?

Haha, the beatles thing isn't lame really (you do realize i'm just saying that coz it's your birthday hehe), i can definitely see how they've been a big influence!

Hmm well I forced him to listen to The White Album (Beatles) a couple of years ago and he liked it... and I made him buy a Strokes album once, bahahah *exploits* then he got into The White Stripes and other stuff by himself... and since then we've introduced each other to different bands (I've got him into Arctic Monkeys, The Features, The Rakes etc.) and he got me listening to Tom Vek aaaand some other stuff :D So it works quite well really... which is good cos I don't think I could cope if he was into 50 cent/dance music/some pish :|

I don't know who influences my life the most. I think various people probably shape who I am without me (or them) even knowing it.

Hehe yeah i think you have to kinda sit and think about it a bit or maybe one day it just kinda hits you like "hey i just did something that ___ would do!" =)
