Okay, I think I'm writing a paper about The Police in the British Punk late 70s - 80s era and how they influenced youth culture in race and gender relations, or maybe at least revealed the mindsets of the era, by looking at their lyrics and history

I just wanted to say that I absolutely agree with you about what you said about men. Because it is sadly too true. It's kinda like when, for a story I'm writing, I had to look up about male domestic abuse (from females - not in a homosexual relationship) and it was making me really sad because there are a lot of men who never say anything about it because the idea of getting beat up - physically and emotionally - by a woman isn't the image they're told to put out for the world. Because also, if they admit they were abused by their wife or girlfriend, a lot of people think it was their fault because "they started it" or "did something to deserve it". Which also means the hotlines and help centers for abused men are considerably low compared to the ones for women. Certainly did make me want to do something.

Anyway. Sorry about rambling like that. If I can think of anything to help, I'll certainly let you know. Well... my dad and his family are British. If you have any questions you want me to ask them, I'm sure they'd be happy to answer them. :)
