The gay marriage ban failed in the Senate with only 48 votes (although we only had 49, but they were still way short of what they needed)

AND

Al-Zarqawi is DEAD. Killed in an air strike.

While it may seem callous to celebrate someone's death, I personally think this is a great thing and hope this can only mean good things for the US.
