I don't think that's the case, do you not read/watch Bakuman? I think it's probably because of the slow development that the per chapter isn't interesting enough to keep people voting for it, which is why now we only get fast paced crap, nothing like the past flagships, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece.. They got an interesting start but was kinda slow paced, when they survived, they become a legend, but if they died, they're nothing more than a slow-paced-cancelled-potentialed-manga, sigh.. Blame the rating system. Should actually make the rating system per volume rather than per chapter, which could give the story some space to advance first, rather than being cancelled without being able to do anything..

btw, this week, the chapter of Nisekoi that ranked is chapter 55 (Tsugumi's chapter)

Regarding HJ, I agree. Despite liking Souma, I'm starting to lose interest in the plot and characters (except for the heroine), and in contrast I'm getting more and more interested in HJ. I liked the new characters and the way the plot is flowing. It would have been a nice battle story if not cancelled (I don't think it will survive)
