I got my acceptance letter from WSU Vancouver today. It wasn't my first choice school. It was actually my last choice, but it was the only school that was still excepting students for Fall.
I've been told everyone who applies to WSU-V gets in, that it's not that big of a deal, that it's pretty much equal to a community college, or Evergreen, that you just show up and you're in. But still, it felt good for a few minutes to see a "Congratulations!" letter instead of the "Thank you for you interest in Western, but we're sorry to inform you..." Letter that I have gotten so used to seeing.
I always excepted to be happy when I got into university. I imagined calling Adessa the second I opened the letter. Calling my dad, my mom, the owner of my work... Everyone!
But I pretty much just feel sad. I called my dad, and it was nice to have some one moderately proud of me.
This just isn't what I wanted.
