(no subject)
Ok, Let's see. Right now, I'm at work. I'm pretty tired, but that's ok, because things have been awesome lately. School finished up about a week ago. We had study days, which just involved sleeping a lot, playing nintendo, and really, that's about it. I've had to start packing stuff up, which is a bummer. It's probably the thing that I hate the most about moving. Not much has really been going on, just hanging out with the guys who are here and trying to make the most of my time left.
Friday night Jonny and I went and saw streetlight manifesto. I got a ticket for $5, so it was worth it. They were really good live, but they didn't really play any Catch 22. Last night we went back to the same venue, which was in Allentown (like an hour and half drive) because Underoath was playing. This time it was Me, Jonny, Justin, Brent, and his friend from Florida, Matt. We got there early, and saw Taylor, hung out for a while, and watched as a game of baseball broke out between Underoath and As Cities Burn. After a while we headed inside, and the basement is a cool place where the band hang out, since they don't have a backstage. We played poker, and it came down to me and Justin left. I ended up winning a few bucks, which was cool because I usually don't play, but also because we schooled those dudes in bands. As Cities Burn were really good, Poison the Well was pretty sloppy, and Underoath was really tight. I didn't care much for the new stuff they played, but we'll see when the CD comes out.
I had a really good night and I was glad because I know it's going to be one of the last here. I'm excited to live in Philly for a few years, and I think this will be my last summer at home. I love my friends at home, but each summer less of them return, and it's pretty much time for me to move on. So for all of you not here, starting August 2006, come visit!
