At the request of a few people, I'm going to try to update at least a little more often. I'm also going to try and update better.

Time has been flying since I've gotten back. I now have officially one week left. The rest of this week, and three days next week. I've been slacking on work and really have a lot to do before classes end. I can't complain though, it's been unseasonably warm, and everything is going pretty well right now. Yesterday I didn't have any class. It was a pretty productive day. I went to Alpha Launch Team in the morning.

Alpha is an introductory course to Christianity that a few people are thinking about starting here at Temple. I think that I want to be involved, but I want it to be done well. I want to do it because I want to care about other people and I want to share what I believe, not because the church tells us to get more members so we can have more money and more members and then more churches. I've been having issues with evangelism lately, and I just wish that people cared for each other more than anything. It seems like that's what Jesus did, and he's a pretty good example.

After that, I went to apply for a job. A new 24 hour Starbucks is opening next semester, and I may be employed there. There's really not much else to say, other than if I get the job I have to come back to school early. I think I would really like that. I'd read, sleep in, play video games, work/do training, and be alone. Sometimes I just feel bombarded by other people and I just want some me time. It's not selfish; it's just how I like to roll.

I got lunch with Jonny, and then we both went to give blood. It didn't work out so well for him. I like to give blood because I can and I think it's a good thing to do. I completed the tradition by listening to Bane's "Give Blood."

I went to cell group, which was rough at first, but we ended up having a really good discussion. We talked about advent, and recognizing God in life where people tend to want to keep him out, and our ideal weekend getaway spots. I don't end up remembering a lot from those meetings, but I just come away with a good feeling and thinking that these people are really cool.

Today I had class. I need to clean my room. One of my profs brought up an interesting stat. He said that each day, and average person spends 9 and 1/2 hours with some type of electronic media. CDs, internet, TV, cell phone, computer, video games, ect. I understand that this is probably true, but he looks down on that. I really don't see anything wrong with that, as long as you keep time for the important things and maintain a decent grip on reality. And it's hard to avoid mediated environments with stupid things like TVs in our dining halls and computerized everything. That was my somewhat though provoking idea of the day.

I need to clean my room now. And I like cute girls.
