“Um, alright. I think that it’s time for me to put myself out there. Well, it’s probably past time for that… I should’ve done it a while ago, now that I think about it. Yeah… I really should have…
“Right. Sorry. Um, well… For those of you that know me, you know that I’m… fairly shy. I think that I should try and break out of that. At least a little bit. Too much of a change might confuse people. So I want to become a little less shy.”
Bret holds up a sign that’s white with black letters, reading: GIRLFRIEND WANTED.
“So yeah. Just thought I’d, you know… Put myself out there. So, if anyone’s interested…” He smiles shyly.
“Um, I like animals and apples. If you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them.” Starts to put the sign away, but then he remembers something.
“Oh. And, um… Well, please don’t use me just for sex. It makes me feel used…” He stands awkwardly for a moment.
“Yeah… So… Thank you for your time. I’m, um, Bret. McKenzie. Thanks.”
