꽃보다 남자 | Boys Before Flowers | Hana Yori Dango Korea Finale
I was so darn excited about this adaptation at first. It started out pretty awesome - even if the music was awful - but Korea's HYD was really disappointing in the end. And I say that as someone who doesn't think Hana Yori Dango consists of great writing to begin with >.>
Someday I will make a chart comparing the three (possibly four, maybe five) different portrayals of Makino. But all I have to say in response to Korea's version after 25 episodes is: A:LKFJSD:LGKSJDG:LSDKHJSD YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.
Jan Di =/= Makino.
I am wavering between laughing and just... crying on the inside because she is so ridiculous and does not even have a shred of what makes Makino who she is. And I have loved the "heroines" in Korean dramas before, SO HOW DID THE SCREENWRITERS GET MAKINO SO WRONG?
One day I will do a proper write-up, but right now I'm just. AUGH. AUGH. THE FINALE. AUGH. I have so little respect for Jan Di .__.
PS: Ji Hoo (Korea's Hanazawa Rui) can stay, especially after the haircut ♥_♥. For the record, I would've picked him over Jun Pyo (Korea's Domyoji) in a heartbeat. Let me comfort your poor, shattered heart, Ji Hoo Sunbae! Jan Di doesn't deserve you ;o;
