art show.
sold 8 stickers. managed to be broke all weekend and still find ways to eat drink and be reasonably merry.
got invited (to an invite only) art show here by a local professor organizing a show of "miniature" drawings and paintings, who was impressed by my portraits of my ex and i. it's in november...i get to submit 2 works, 12 inches or less. so i guess i'm now, uuh..."taking submissions" for interested parties who might like to appear in an art show in ny...because at least one of the 2 pieces will most likely be a portrait...and for those of you who've never seen my drawings, i've always been compared to egon schiele, though i don't think ive ever done much that i love as much as his worst work. but i'm optimistic, and alway slooking for people who will let me draw them..even if it's from a emailed phot, or something.
in other news, i just finished vernon god little, by dbc pierre, which for the most part, i highly recommend, if you like satire, narrated by sarcastic white trash teenagers from texas. heh.
and cosmopolis, by delilo, though i still think white noise is the best.
seriously though, if anyone is a fan of getting drawn/painted/loves to be looked at, down to the slightest details, memorized and tranfered via another's fingertips for the world to see how they are perceived....please let me know asap.
