Writer's Block: Jumped the shark
Oh god, The X Factor. I know this answer will have many people thinking "Oh, another stupid hipster who thinks she's a special snowflake for disliking the mainstream" but really. Every year the contestants are more annoying, the judges are more annoying, and the fact that I can never get away from it is more annoying. It was fun to begin with, but now it's just boring and repetitive. Have a look at every music video for the winner's single for example. Exactly the same. (I'd have much more respect for that show if they just had a different music video for starters. Rather than darkness, pretty lights and montages (with dramatic pitch change during the "you're the winner" flashback), why not have the winner throwing jelly beans from a hot air balloon (Or something less silly)? I realize about a gazillion people will disagree with me on this, I'd just like to rant since the new series hasn't even started yet and I already can't get away. Aaaaaah~
