I will probably regret saying this but since this is my journal, I don't really give a damn. I can't believe what I'm reading, all this negativity about Matt Smith being cast as the 11th incarnation of Doctor Who. It annoys me that a lot of people (both men and women) are attacking this guy simply because of his age and how he looks. Was it ever contracted that every incarnation of the Doctor must be played by a good-looking man? I don't think so, and no offense but Tom & Colin Baker weren't exactly sex-on-legs (sorry!) yet they both had a big fanbase because of the fun they brought to the role... :/
So, despite (what seems like the rest of the world) all the negative comments, I'm sure Matt knew he had big shoes to fill (and didn't David Tennant after he took over from Chris Eccleston?) but we knew that too and I think we should at least give him a chance. After all, I think it'd be a nice change seeing someone younger bringing something new to the character. I can't wait to see who his companion/s is/are and what his outfit will be like. :D
Don't hate me please.
