I know there are many stoner communities out there but I chose 1_pothead_lane to be my apropriate vice. Sure the rules were a little strict with the "must be pot-related" but thats understandable. After all, I am a reasonable person.

I work 9h a day, 5-6 days a week I really have no time to make and run a community properly. Id love to be a moderator, personally, but dont feel I could make something thats up-to-par or even in a visual league as 1_pothead_lane.

Yes, I think a new community would be awsome. But there are so many pothead communities out there Im not sure it would be worth it. Are you appart of any others? Do any of them have the same people in them? Do any of them even get any traffic? I havent looked into this at all :(

Im not sure if Im going to stay. Yes I love the people and the general feel of the community. But that feel is faultering - or at least I feel it is - and there isnt much point in staying. What I feel like sharing is being cencored, and what I feel like replying with is being monitored...and if someone sais one bad thing then the entire thing is deleted. Thats not my idea of fun.

Besides, Im pretty sure im under threat of being banned for simply making this thread in my own journal.

Im not a huge fan of the rules.. I can see how rules become more and more necessary as the commuity grows.. I didnt really notice any problems that would merit such rules all of a sudden.. thats what kind of confused me. Unless its pre-emptive.. in which case.. I dont like that. But, yea.

I had made a post (in one of the threads that was deleted) in support of the rule changes. This was before I noticed the disapearence of threads and the censorship of new posts. That almost felt like a stab in the back. After all, I figured the community was getting along just fine, expecially after the reminder about the rules about a month back. A reminder is all we really needed, not a complete rearangement of the way we experience the community.

The moderated posts are what really bother me. And the age doesn't affect me because I was part of the community before then, and the friends only thing is annoying to remember but i understand the need to protect privacy.

I don't know if a new group is the right solution for the formentioned reason that there are already so many out there but its nice having a comunity of people you are already familar with.

If a majority of people feel that a new comunity in the style of the older pothead_lane I would be willing to help out by moding or with designing the site.

I have no life except to sit home and smoke. I do not work, I do not have a boyfriend, all I have is my best friend and her baby that I chill with everyday. Other then that I am on the computer researching and basically just killing time. I do agree with what you are saying and I am letting you know that I am 100% behind you. I don't like the fact that censorship is in place now. Fuck anyone for telling me what is not 'pot' related. My whole life, just about, revolves around weed. It has become more of a lifestyle then anything else. So just about everything I have to say is some how pot/weed/refeer/grass related. Totally for a change, more then willing to do anything to help. And kudos for you actually taking a stance and following through on this.

Rules are the only way a community can thrive. If you'd like a place to post garbage check out MY new community twctgalol.livejournal.com and post whatever you'd like. Setting up a little boycot of pothead lane will do nothing considering there are over one thousand active members.
