think about, an awesome set of musicians, a brilliant yet beauraucratic drummer, an insatiable guitarist, a recognised bassist with trademark riffs, and a singer whose voice remembered for all the right reasons
think about lyrics that actually blow your mind. nah really do, make you think on a different plane, create ideas in your head, but at the same time rock your fucking socks off. poetry in motion.
think about songs that have stood the test of time, and are now legendary in both myth and commercialism.
think about albums made to BE albums, not as ways of making money on 'hits' that are released.
and the answer.. PINK FLOYD a truly amazin band of all time. songs like money are just as relevant today as ever, lyrics like ones in time and sheep, rocking out songs like one of these days or another brick in the wall, and emotive songs like wish you were here and comfortably numb that really make you wanna cry.
oh, and the vocal solo on great gig in the sky, makes your heart bleed.
i should really stop going to gigs. all they do is make me blab on livejournal.
