hehehehe brief update
This semester is going pretty well so far. I have only cut myself a few times, and all accidentally on my sculpture project. Who wouldnt when you are making your projects out of razor blades.. not with but out of.. yay security blanket. ehheheh... So far i have about 800 on the piece but it is still gonna need probably 400 or so more. But damn it looks good if i dont say so myself. I have gotten into creating very meticulous pieces. I think it honestly helps my sanity, cuz its forcing me to concentrate especially since i have to be as careful as possible since i am not using gloves. But it started last semester with my lovely 10000 empty pill capsule installation. If you want to see it leave a comment with your email and ill forward you the pictures. They are all time consuming projects, which yea its annoying after working for 5 hours and it looks like you havent gotten much done, but at the same time, now that im not on the lithium anymore, it is forcing me to concentrate on using my hands so i am learning to combat the hand tremors left over from the lithium. who knows i may be able to pierce and tattoo yet.
I have been drawing again which is also a bonus, when i have to start putting together a portfolio so i can continue my never ending education in the quest for yet another masters eventually.
My teacher is also going to find a way to help me start exhibiting my work, how i dont know but we will figure it out because if i ever hope to teach college i need to start.
met a nice guy dont think its going anywhere, but im totally ok with it. we are both crazy busy people. him with work and me with work and school. Either way i think i found a really chill friend. On that note i miss my friends i dont get to see them all that much, just cuz of the crazy busyness. That and hockey. hehehe.
Hockey was my saving grace this semester, it forced me to take a couple hours a week and let me forget everything for a bit and just enjoy myself, with out that i think i would have gone crazy, since most of my friends are away at school or work opposite hours that i do. so it was nice having that 2 or 3 nights a week where i could just go to a game, route for my team and enjoy spending time with a few people who could come. It also let me see a friend i hadnt seen since he graduated from rutgers. It allowed me to create monsters out of my parents in that they are now crazy hockey fans; but also allowed me to become closer with them to bond on something besides bitching about work or school. it was probably the first time where my mom and i could go some where and not argue the whole time, unless she was trash talking about our goalie.
Made some new friends at the games too.
Two sundays ago we played the rangers, i hung out with anthony and his friends before the game, did the tailgating thing, and then after the game i ended up having to break some drunk ranger fan's nose, being that he wouldnt keep his hands off my ass while going up the stairs back to my car. This past sunday was easter weekend, for me i mean the weekend because we rescheduled the jesus dinner to saturday since i had a devils game to go to on sunday. Yay for whipping the flyers ass 5-1. Take that Esche. hehehe it was a fun game. We won, it was fan appreciation day so things were being given out all over the place. During the week i drew a portrait of Cam Janssen (#25) and because im friends with my Rep (dude who answers all my season ticket questions) I was able to meet and talk and give the drawing to Cam. Totally nice guy, Loves his fans. I would love to pick his brain about what its like (not necessarily to play hockey) but what its like to actually being given the chance to do what it is you love, making a living at your passion. SO he signed my jersey, I gave him the drawing to which he was shocked. Everyone around was asking if i drew it.. of course i did. He was just like omg no one has ever done this for me before, this is amazing you are so talented, if you wanna do more i would love to have them. and then while he was signing everyone elses crap he was telling them not to knock into it. was taking a minute every now and then to look at it and smile a great big smile. hes HUGE> he like dwarfs me. and then he gave me a hug took a picture with me and then my father decided it was time to go. I also had John Madden sign my jersey. Then went home and did the eat with my family (aka mom and dad). Overall a good weekend. I got tara down to my area on saturday. Went to play pool both friday and saturday.
And now im at work, waiting for my rep to call back so i can thank him since hes the reason i got to me cam. Figure it would be the nice thing to do. I got a postcard from my friend andrew who is in israel and has been since september. First one yet. hehehehe lazy boy. And he misses home me his friends and squirrels.. hehehee wierdo.
Well yea thats my life so far.. School work school work, some sleep in there at some point. just doing my thing and for once not ready to crack. Thank you hockey and the friends i have talked to in the past couple months. you are whats keeping me sane.
