Chapter 10 - HYUNG! I need your help!

Oct 12, 2009 01:20

The sun’s persistence paid off as it managed to wind its rays of light through the cracks between their dark curtains and shine annoyingly unto Yoochun's face. Yoochun felt more than saw his eyelids turn red as the sun landed directly upon his eyes. His eyes cracked open and squinted in irritation at the strong beams of sunlight that managed to infiltrate into their shared bedroom. He almost made a move to get up and shut the curtains completely before he noticed a weight on top of him.

Yoochun smiled gently down at Junsu's peaceful features as he continued on in his slumber. His sniffles during the night had finally died down and the lines on his forehead had disappeared completely. If not for the dark circles under his eyes, no one could have guessed that he had broken down last night.

Yoochun's smile slowly turned into a grimace as the feelings of his wooden legs slowly returned to him, with painful pricking sensations that trailed up his thighs. Yoochun shifted slightly but froze immediately as Junsu grunted in irritation, before slipping back into his snooze. Yoochun released a sigh of relief that he did not know he had kept in and lifted up a slim finger to delicately smooth away Junsu's creased forehead.

Unable to resist temptation, his errant fingers found themselves tracing the contours of Junsu's plump lips. Suddenly a tongue darted out and Junsu's lips parted on their own accord before Yoochun's fingers disappeared into the sweet cavern of Junsu's mouth. Yoochun gasped in shock and felt the heat from Junsu's hot tongue laving softly against his finger travel straight down to his groin. His neglected member responded eagerly to Junsu's touch and Yoochun's awakened desire desperately wept for more. Unwillingly, Yoochun immediately tugged his fingers away from Junsu's temptingly crimson lips and this jolted Junsu out of his sleep.

Blinking his weary eyes several times before they would fully open, his eyes felt sore and aggravated after last night’s events, he frowned at the familiar face in front of him and he stiffly poked at the persons cheeks to discern if they were real or just a part of his lingering dream. His fingers met Yoochun's hard cheekbones and he frowned as they did not yield to his persistent pokes.

Suddenly, he felt the soft bed he was sleeping on start to rumble and Yoochun's melodious chuckles slowly drifted into his ear. His eyes widened as he finally took in his surroundings. The bed was in fact Yoochun's broad chest that Junsu had comfortably used as a pillow throughout the night. Yoochun's sturdy arms still firmly clinched him in place and prevented him from falling off their shared bed.

‘I’m sleeping on Yoochun's chest!? How the hell did I end up here? I mean it feels comfortable and everything but . . . did I just say it was comfortable!?’ Junsu immediately bolted up away from Yoochun and found that his legs had naturally shifted to straddle Yoochun's hips during the night. Witnessing his provocative position splayed across Yoochun, the image coloured his cheeks prettily and caused him to stutter a half- formulated apology, “I’m. . . I’m sorry. . I didn’t mean to poke you. . I . . I . . I’m really sorry. “He finished lamely.

Yoochun gazed up at him with a playful smirk, enjoying the faint blush that had coloured Junsu's cheeks. Yoochun's frank gaze unnerved Junsu and he averted his eyes as he felt his cheeks grow hotter. Junsu's heart beat erratically and he was once again, confronted with his confusing emotions, whenever he regarded his other band member. The rest did not evoke the same churning jumble of feelings that Yoochun did and they certainly did not cause his heart to pulsate at accelerated speeds.

Unable to resist, Yoochun pinched Junsu's cheek eliciting a high pitched shriek in shock as he was jerked out of his ponderings. Yoochun burst out laughing and Junsu pouted in mock irritation. He jumped off yoochun and in a swift flash of his hands the bedcovers were pulled away and Yoochun tumbled onto the hard parquet flooring. He giggled as Yoochun's dishevelled head poke out from under the covers that were heaped onto him.

“Yah! Junsu! Come back here!!” Yoochun shouted, trying his hardest to frown in anger whilst a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

“You can try!!” Junsu yelled as he ran out of the room, sniggering, as a warm sensation spread through his body, revelling in the pure simple enjoyment of his life, with Yoochun.

‘That bloody duck-butt.’ Yoochun cursed mentally as he ran after Junsu with a wide grin splayed across his face. He froze in his tracks as a devious plan formed in his mind. Grinning at his quick thinking, he turned about and re-entered their room. He stealthily hid behind their bathroom door and grinned as he waited patiently for his prey to be lured into his trap.

Oppa! Have you eaten? I know you like kimbap so I made them for you~
Im coming up right now to see you~ ^^

Alarmed, Changmin read and re-read the last message. “Shit.” He muttered. Frantically he called her back.

“oppa? Is that really you? Oh hi oppa, im so glad you-“

“seo hyun, where are you now!?”

“oppa, why do you sound so flustered, I managed to sneak past the security guard! Im walking up the stairs to your dorm now. I hope no one sees me.. The security guard was sooo sca-“

He snapped the phone shut. ‘What the hell? Shit. She’s coming’

“Changmin ah, have you seen Yoochun anywhere?” Junsu's head popped out from behind the doorframe and peered at Changmin sitting at his desk.

A stroke of genius hit Changmin and he pulled Junsu urgently into the room. “HYUNG! I need your help. Please.” Changmin begged his hyung on his knees, testament to his desperation to avoid his impending doom.

“Whoa whoa calm down. What do you need my help for?” Junsu genially asked, delighted that Changmin, his ever rude and smart-mouthed junior, was finally granting him the respect that he deserved.

“Hyung, you have to help me. My stalker girlfriend is gonna come up the stairs and enter our house any moment! Please, you’ve got to help me. Pretend that im cheating on her by being with you!” Changmin pleaded in fraught.

A look of recognition dawned onto Junsu's face. “Owhhh, THAT girl.”

Junsu looked down into Changmin's anxious eyes and a playful grin spread across his face. “Now, what do I get in return for helping you?” His grin grew wider, as Changmin's features settled into miserable resignation. “I’ll give.. give.. Oh, alright, I’ll let you have some of my songpyeon that my mum made specially for me.”

“Some?”Junsu enquired gleefully, his eyebrows raised in mock surprise, enjoying the look of horror that had entered Changmin's eyes on his incredulous face.

“What!? You want the whole box!? But I love my mums songpyeon.. Hyung~” Changmin wined, his pitiful puppy eyes striking a chord in Junsu's heart which compelled him to amend his previous statement.

“Alright, alright, I’ll settle for the ones with the sweet red bean filling. Happy?” At his words, Changmin nodded vehemently, till he resembled a bobblehead doll.

Giggling at the exciting new adventure that fell into his hands at the start of his day, Junsu followed Changmin out to the kitchen to inspect his prize. A prick of worry stabbed him, as he considered the implications, if Yoochun somehow managed to witness their little prank. Strangely, he felt a strong bitter distaste growing at the back of his tongue as he mulled it over, a strange need to prevent Yoochun from getting the wrong idea. It somehow felt essential for Yoochun not to get hurt, for him to believe that Junsu would never replace Yoochun's firm grip on that exclusive part of his heart that was reserved specially for him.

Junsu frowned slightly in disturbance at the personal path his thoughts had taken him to, the more he could not explain the urgent need to protect Yoochun, the more the feeling of confusion and frustration grew. Doing what he had done for the most of his life, when confronted with problems, Junsu resolutely pushed aside the nagging sensation that had settled annoyingly at the bottom of his stomach and painted a cheerful smile on his face, as Changmin reluctantly pried open his most preciously prized possession.

The door to their dorm clacked open and an annoyingly sing-song voice floated through the hallway. “Changmin ah~ where are you.. I’ve got your kimbap here waiting for you!”
Changmin felt the hairs on his back rise and he shivered in revulsion. The sound of her heels hitting the hard wooden flooring of their dorm echoed in the hall and drifted through the kitchen. Changmin promptly snatched Junsu away from the loving stares that he was giving to his precious songpyeon, wrapped his sturdy arms around Junsu and swiftly kissed him. Little did he know that was all it took, to wreak havoc on the little peace that had settled in along with the morning sun, in their shared dorm.

A shrill scream sounded to his left at the entrance of the kitchen and a clatter of metal striking the marble flooring of their kitchen rang in the air. Junsu broke the kiss and stared at the girl in fake astonishment.

“Omo! I’m so sorry. . I didn’t know you were there. . I’m sorry, it really doesn’t look like what it is. . Really! Changmin we should have been more careful! ” He finished the last line in a hissed whisper, displaying his annoyance at his “boyfriend” for getting caught red- handed. His embarrassed undertone was not missed by Seo Hyun and she narrowed her eyes in hate at the guilty pair, who averted their eyes and sneakily, Changmin threw in a shamed grimace as he met her eyes swiftly. That finally pushed her off the brink.

“I can’t believe it! So that’s why you’ve been avoiding me! That’s why you’ve not been calling! I’ve wondered fleetingly if you found me annoying and irritating for a point of time, but I was confident enough that you loved me! But now, I find that the reason for your avoidance is because of this!?” At length, she finally ended her ranting with a screeching stop. They both winced, their ears suffering from her continued trilling.

Huffing and puffing from her exertion, she exited the dorm with a final slam of the main door. Changmin released a sigh of relief and turned around to grin mischievously down at his hyung.

“We did it! That crazy maniac is gone! Suddenly, giving you my precious songpyeon seems miraculously worth it. . Did you see her veins standing out? She looked like she was about to burst a vessel any moment. . “Changmin faintly said in contemplation, lost in his thoughts, wondering about his good fortune to be finally rid of her.

Junsu stared incredulously at Changmin for a split second before bursting into his uniquely boundless laughter that managed to breach every single person’s barriers, till they felt suffused in his delight. Loving and harmonious, it flowed like golden honey on a Sunday morning, touching the very souls that he shared his joy with.

The main door slammed for the second consecutive time that day, its force rattling down to his very core, robbing the warm smile from his lips and replacing it with thinned lips drawn in trepidation. He prayed against all odds that Yoochun had not been the one to step out of the front door, to be a silent observer to the spectacle that had played out in the kitchen, to feel hurt once more because of Junsu's foolish insensitiveness.

Shocked into a daze, as he realised his worst fears were indeed coming true, Junsu's legs moved of their own accord, independent of his sluggish thoughts as they raced after Yoochun, almost slamming into Jaejoong and Yunho returning from their night outing hunting for supper.

“Junsu hyung?” Changmin called out from the kitchen in bewilderment.
