A very long busy day
Awoke at 0630 and had brekky.
Caught two buses to be in Burswood for 0730, where I picked up a 3 tonne rental truck for the day.
I did as much racing as I could in peak hour traffic through the city to be in Nedlands by 0810 to pick up the bed frame that I won on ebay.
From Nedlands, straight up to Kinross to pick up the fridge that I bought from Nikki. Left Nikki's place at 0920.
On my way down the freeway, I decided I couldn't make it home and back in time, so I went straight to Doubleview to sign my rental lease and pick up the keys. Arrived there just before 1000, and left at 1050.
Went home and swapped vehicles in favour of my car and proceeded to Kewdale for an auction. Was there for several hours. Bought some stuff.
Stuff in specifics:
Two 3-drawer bedside tables. $30 each
One entertainment unit. $170
Dining table and two chairs. $80 for the set
Five bags of assorted prescription glasses frames. $40 for the lot
Speaker system (which I'm yet to figure out due to being foreign). $5
Back home to fetch the truck and a little extra money, and then back to the auction place to pay for, and pick up my items. Left auction place at 1550.
Raced home, swapped vehicles yet again and was in Subiaco for a doctors appointment by 1620.
Went home again. Dismantled my other dining table (which has been used as a desk for the past 3 years. Loaded it on to the truck.
Took the furniture around to the new place and spent an hour or so lugging my furniture up two flights of stairs to my unit. I had a little help from my current housemate, who unbeknownst to me, followed me to my new place. Thanks Kim! I struggled as it was with Kims help. Would have been much worse doing it all on my own.
Filled up tank on the truck, and then returned it to the rental yard.
Left the rental yard at 2100 and walked all the way home. Got in just before 2200.
Now that I've written all that out, I'd just like to say that I'm completely exhausted. I desperately need a shower, and then dinner, and then a good sleep!
So glad it's done though.
