The bestest movie in ages is
Hustle and Flow. See the trailer
here. Terrence Howard was the director character in Crash. Also the guitar player-player in The Best Man, and underrated, fun movie. I can't say enough good things about Hustle and Flow. I went out of duty, and was converted within minutes, prolly from the sighting of the bright yellow, 70s-licious credits. The music was actually good, to our surprise, and there were several good performances. Ludacris, who also had scenes in Crash with Howard, is a pretty fair actor.
Speaking of pretty fair actors, today is the birthday of the cutie who uttered one of the bestest movie quotes ever, a quote which didn't make the
AFI's Top 100 Movie Quotes list :-(
Here it is: "I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that." Who's that actor, and who's the character?
In other news,
Apollo Con not only didn't suck, but was pretty cool! Looking forward to the next one. Also looking forward to the next con on our horizon, ArmadilloCon.
