I just posted my intro yesterday buuut I'm back with more questions already.
I am getting married outdoors in Western Washington. There is a very real possibility it will rain. I about had a heart attack looking at tent rental prices, because my venue budget is like um, $0. That's why we're doing it on my dad's property instead of renting somewhere. I mean, chair and table rentals I'm cool with, it comes out to like $3 a person which is doable. Heck, we have logs people can sit on if it comes down to that. But the tent, aaaahhhh. D:
(1) Does an alternative exist?! I don't need it to be pretty, just affordable. It's not likely to rain in late summer, after all.
(2) My dad's house, I mean, it's a pretty decent size... what square footage do you need to comfortably accommodate 30-40 people if we all had to go inside? This applies to both ceremony and reception.
And second, flowers. Yet another item where my budget is "as cheap as possible." XD Has anyone used grocery store flowers? How'd that work out for you? I'd love to hear personal experiences.
Thanks guys!
