Oh hey it's going to be right near me. Do you know where you're having it yet?

We're renting out on of the rooms at the Murray P. Norman Community Center. The best rate in town and it has a kitchen.

Oh! I just visited there like 2 hours ago to do a walk through. I loved the outside areas.

Yeah we did do. We're doing a lot of our own food and decoration so a kitchen is a plus. We were going to have a reception around our 1 year anniversary but since my husband got a job in Nevada we're pushing it until later SPring or early Summer next year.

Which room you'll be in? They showed me the Palo Verde but it not only looked small, but also much less awesome than the outside and the lobby areas.

We're getting the Palo Verde. The Sycamore room would be so awesome but it's out of our budget. Those rooms are awesome. They rent it by halves. so it would be $220 an hour and we have a $500 budget.
My mother-in-low is paying for the room. We figure we'll have around 100 people so it's just right. With the Palo Verde room they also let you use the terrace for free if no one is renting it that day. The kitchen is nice since it has a serving counter that won't take up much room. The nice things about the center is that the tables and chairs are included in the rental price.
Are you serving alcohol and having dancing?

You just gave me more information than the lady who showed me around! No alcohol but we do want to dance which is why I'm concerned. We'll have about the same amount of people as you if perhaps a bit less (85-100). I asked about using the terrace right outside for a ceremony and she kind of just said we could and it's been done before and that we'd have to rent it as well if we wanted to do that (which makes sense).

I guess the difference is that the other places we've been visiting have had high ceilings and feel larger and more open, even if the square footage is actually a little smaller.
