Has anyone dealt with centerpieces being taken after the wedding?
I went to the wedding of one of my close friends and was informed by another close friend about 1 1/2 before the reception was supposed to end that at all the quinceaneras and weddings they'd ever been to everyone takes the centerpieces. I had never heard of this but sure enough as the wedding wound down the centerpieces started disappearing.
I freaked out a little bit and asked my fiance if all of his family was going to assume they could take the centerpieces (my friend and my fiance's families are all from Mexico) and he informed me that yes they will most likely assume that and take them.
Is there some easy way to handle this without specifically making an announcement for people to not take centerpieces. I dont want to over react but I've spent a lot of time buying things I planned on re-using, re-saling or giving to family and I really dont want everyone taking them. I'm also horrified at the idea of people taking things before the wedding is even over like they did last night!
