Bakery ideas in Boston or southern MA? and show me your cakes!
We are in invite and cake mode and I need ideas for local bakeries. To recap, our reception is in Milton, MA, so we'd like something near there. We've always loved Konditormeister cakes, and apparently they do beautiful wedding cakes, so we have a tasting there on Fri. But I'm worried they'll be very expensive, so we're looking for other options. I've also set up appointments at Party Favors in Brookline and White's in Hingham.
Any Boston-area brides have recommendations? I don't want fondant or anything too ornate, just a simple, classic cake that tastes fantastic. Also, if we love Konditormeister's cake, but the "wedding" cakes are crazy expensive, would it be weird to get a few of the regular ones instead?
And while we're at it, if you just want to show off your cake, that's good, too!
