How'd you meet your fiance?: met through a friend, and eventually hooked up!
How long have you been together?: 3 years

Anything else you'd like to tell us?: I am a total newb to wedding planning, haha! I'm hoping since I have a year to plan it will help me get the gist of everything!
I have been engaged for quite some time, but a few days ago, I decided... it's time to get serious! I want to be married! And since I am not working due to being on maternity leave, I figured now would be a good time to start planning and booking since I have free time. I started talking with family about a good date. Originally, I had chosen June 30, but my future sister-in-law is a teacher from across the country and can not make it for that date as school ends June 29. So we have decided on July 7. I was talking with my friends about a colour theme, and my family had suggested green but I was not crazy over it, so my friend jokingly suggested pink. I thought it was the best idea ever! I've always wanted my fiancé to wear pink... now I will be able to get him to wear a pink tie! :) I told my fiancé this after he came home from work, and he did not mind if it was only the tie that was pink, but he suggested that our flower/theme be cherry blossoms. I thought it was a fantastic idea! Looking around the internet, I see cherry blossoms seem like a common wedding theme... I had no idea! But it makes it easier for me to be able to find great decoration ideas.
anyway, hope I didn't bore you too bad! I'm hoping to get some great ideas and read about some awesome weddings! I am very excited even though it's a year away! :)
