Heather and Derek. Getting married October 30th, 2011. Writing all this out makes me feel so accomplished (even if there isnt a lot actually done!).
Venue
We will be getting married at Scream at the Beach which is a haunted house. Because of my modeling I have made quite a few connections and the owner of the place is one of them! He is giving us use of the space from whenever till 6pm… for free! Tables and chairs are included as well as access to a stage and sound system (just need to bring an ipod!)

Catering
Food has been difficult. We have two vegans (my friend Sarah and I), a few vegetarians, and a ton of meat eaters.
I have been talking to a southern caterer who does vegan/vegetarian/meat menus for a decent price. A couple of friends who ahve said they know people/have done catering themselves haven't gotten back to me about anything so this seems to be the best option
Cake
We want to do cupcakes for all the guests and then a small vegan cake for me and him. My friend has a good friend who is a baker and she and I have been throwing ideas back and forth. For the little cake she’s going to try to make it look like a Jack o Lantern.
Dress
This is hard for me! I really don’t like traditional wedding dresses and having a hard time finding any that dont look as so. Right now these are ones I am in love with:
Shoes
My horror modeling group are spokesmodels for Hoodoo Shoes so I will be able to pick a pair of heels for free. Loving these ones:
Bridesmaids
Our colors are black, white, and orange. Since I’ll be wearing white and not many people really look good in all orange, the 3 of them will be in black. I’m going to let them pick their own dresses as they are all different shapes and sizes and I want them to be comfortable.
Grooms attire
Black tux with an orange vest, black button up, and orange tie.
Groosmen’s attire
Black tuxes with orange vests, white button ups, and orange ties.
Flowers/Decorations
Besides me and my attendants we won’t be having flowers. I want bouquets like these for us; feathers and flowers:
One of the groomsman’s girlfriend is a florist and offered to get us flowers.
As far as decorations, because it’s in a haunted house, a lot of it is built in however on the tables we’d like a mixture of skulls, pumpkins, and pinstripes.
Makeup/Hair
Both of my bridesmaids are hair stylists so hair and makeup will be easy! So thankful to have them. I'm thinking something braided.
I’m a spokemodel for a hair accessory company so I get a discount on her designs. I may buy something custom (with orange instead of pink):

Photography
I know a ton of great photographers and I am hopeful that one of them, who I have worked with A LOT, would be willing to shoot our wedding for a relatively cheap price. If he isn’t able to, I have a few other people I know as well who I think would be more than happy to help us out!
& lastly...
Invitations
My fiancé will be getting right on these I’m sure ;). He’s a tattooer and a fantastic artist so he wants to do the design himself. I’ll be the one who does the writing part of it.
