I am getting each of my girls something different, something that I know they either want or will really get a lot of use out of. I set a budget of around $100 for each girl.
One of my BMs has really gone above and beyond in terms of helping me plan - she's been there for just about everything, without me even asking or expecting it. So I was hoping to give her something a little extra somehow. (Note: I'll be giving each of the girls their gifts privately, not at the rehearsal dinner or anywhere like that.) Her roommate recently moved out, leaving her without a lot of the stuff she's had access to for 4 years. One of the things she seems to be missing most is her Wii, but after a long stint of being unemployed, it's just not within her budget to get a new one, nor will it be for at least a little while until she's been at her new job and rebuilt up some of the savings she had to use while unemployed.
Well, just so happens that I have a Wii that we bought about 1.5 years ago and have used all of maybe 3 times. I've been meaning to sell it, but I haven't really felt like dealing with the horror of craigslist.
So, I ask.......totally tacky to give her an ever-so-gently used Wii as thanks for all the stuff she has helped me with, or ok gift? I think she would really like having one again, but I can't get over the feeling like I'm re-gifting the bottle of stinky perfume my aunt Mildred gave me for Xmas.
