We booked our honeymoon and an Invitation Question~
So, we booked our honeymoon! We're taking a 4 night Disney cruise to the Bahamas and then staying at Disney World's Contemporary resort for 6 nights. I'm so pumped. Neither of us has cruised it up before, so I'm hoping this'll be an awesome choice. <3
In other news, I've (finally) gotten my STD's addressed. (I'm the girl with the Portal themed postcard STD's.) We're sending them out this weekend, but that is just not good enough for FMIL. She's insisting we send out the invitations no later than the end of this month. And our wedding in December 4th. I'm trying to convince her that June is just too early, but she won't listen. Most of our guests live either in town or maybe 2 hours away. (With the exception of 3 family members, who we know won't attend.)
So ladies and gents, here's my question: Would mid-August be a good compromise do you think for sending our our invitations? Or would even that be too early? All she ever talks about is the invitations whenever I see her and really, I'm starting to get kinda annoyed by it...
*Also, I feel like I should have a progress post sometime soon, since it's just past my six months. But, I have like no progress to show. I hope I'll have a nice big post for the end of the month. :D
Edit: Thanks for the advice ladies. I'll sit FMIL down tomorrow and politely but firmly tell her that 8 weeks will be plenty of time. :]
