printing invitations at home

May 17, 2010 14:13

Here's the deal. I'm planning on buying blank invitations and printing them out at home. I found invitations that I like at Wal-Mart for $19 bucks for 50 invitations/enevelopes/response cards. That's a pretty sweet deal!

My question is for those of you that have gone this route. I'm sending out about 100 50 invitations. Do you think I will need a new ink cartridge or two before all is said and done? Because if the cost of invitations PLUS the ink cartridges is going to more than buying invitations online at, say, Pear Tree, I think I'd rather go for the pretty invitations at Pear Tree.

So what do yall think? Will I need to buy an ink cartidge or two? (Or ten, heaven forbid. :P)

ETA:
I did some counting, and while we'll be inviting about 100 people, it's only about 50 households, so only 50 invites. (Duh me. lol)

Also, we would just be printing out the text on the invitations, no snazzy designs or anything. And I have an HP printer (whose model escapes me write now).

invitations: printing, invitations: do-it-yourself
