Converse Weddings and Bridal Party Gifts

1. I chose Converse's for my wedding shoes. I needed something flat, and I couldn't find any cute flats. I picked Converse's because I have always liked them, and I could customize them. My sister saw them and liked them and said I should have FH, the best man, and groomsman wear them too. With their tuxes or suits (we haven't gotten that far). But heres my problem. I picked the one with almost no sole, and has no toe thing. If their are the thicker sole, with the toe "guard" is that going to look weird? And I am not having the girls wear them, so is that ok?

2. If they are wearing them I have chose my wedding party gifts. Coach wristlets for my MOH, and my sister, and the shoes for the men. I am so happy I might have this thing crossed of my list! Especially since my last progress post (250 days) I have had nothing done, and I am now at 168 days.

3. Now three sets of parents to buy for. Well maybe 1 set, and then FH's mother and father. I am not buying a gift for FH's step father (because they don't speak and he won't be attending) and, if I can.. no gift for the step mom either (FH doesn't like her but they still speak- with force). Its OK to do that? Unfortunately the step mom would be attending, but I feel like if I do one I should do the other, and personally I don't want to give either of them something. I have never met his step father, but even FH's mom doesn't like him... soo yea. But FH's step mom is a total jerk. She has said many insulting and rude statements about my choices in life and relationship with FH, so much that I almost told FH she wouldn't be invited. But then I knew that would mean drama with his father, and I didn't want to put it to that point.
