Honeymoon Cruising
I looked through the tags but was hoping for some more advice. My fiance and I are planning to cruise the Western Caribbean. We have never been on a cruise before, so it's a little overwhelming. I've been looking at the boards on cruisecritic.com, but there isn't much there about honeymooners.
So, has anyone here honeymooned recently on Norwegian Cruise Lines or Carnival? The honeymoon would be at the end of July/beginning of August. We want to do the western Caribbean. We want to make sure the boat we are on has adult-only areas (I teach, I love children, just not on my honeymoon). But at the same time, my fiance is determined to be on a ship with "awesome waterslides!". :)
We are looking at the Carnival Dream and Norwegian Epic right now, but they are so expensive! Are we better off going through the cruise line directly or should we try to find a travel agent? I have always planned our trips, but don't really want to leave our honeymoon to chance.
