Veil help needed!

I need to buy a veil. I would like to spend as little money as I can without ending up with a veil that looks bad or obviously cheap. I want something very simple: no blusher, no facy fabrics, not a birdcage, just a traditional simple design. I would love to buy online. However, I am pretty clueless about where to start and how not to overpay or ( Read more... )

My veil was from Michael's. I think my Mom paid all of 10 dollars for it. It was simple netting, with a comb and white ribbon edging.

The way my hair was styled, I didn't need any adornments on the comb area, but those would have been easy to add.

second this. I got my veil from Joann Fabrics for about $15 (it's the same brand that's at michaels). And it was very simple with just a few little rhinestones on it. They have about 4 or 5 different veils that are all inexpensive and really simple.

I found one I loved, but realized it was shipping from China, and they didn't guarantee it would arrive in 30 days (and that's about how long I had to plan my wedding..). It was also $30 for shipping.

I ended up ordering a much plainer one from here, but it turned out to be beautiful and worked well:

Shipping was inexpensive and it arrived quickly and was a low price.

I got my veil from http://www.veilshop.com/

I had a drop veil, which is about as simple as you can get. It was just a circle of netting and a hat pin to hold it on. You could make something like that if you just bought the netting and cut it. The website's quite useful even if you don't want to buy from them as they have helpful videos explaining the different types of veil available.

You can pick the color, length, fullness, edging, comb, etc. I got a very simple veil for about $35 including shipping.

Check out the seller cutebrides on ebay. I've gotten two veils from her (changed my mind on style!) and they were each under $15-20 with shipping.

Hers are all handmade in the US and the quality was very nice for a simple, classic veil.
