375 Progress Post: Destination [VEGAS] Wedding

Nov 03, 2009 11:10

I have practically everything planned out but absolutly nothing paid for.  We had expierenced some unexpected bills (thank you very much red light camera ticket) and so are waiting until I get my tax return to pay for the entire sha-bang in Jan-March.. Long time to wait but I'm losing weight anyway.. So dress shopping will have to wait till then anyway... and if we have to change the date because we didn't put deposits down sooner I'm ok with that.

At first, not having the deposits when I hoped we'd have them made me horribly cranky and worried... But whats there to worry about when I know the real prize is the man and the rest will follow suite.  So I stopped all the nonsense and things have been much much happier in my life.

So the wedding is November 13, 2010 and there will be approximatly 40 guests in attendence.  Small and intimate.

This is the style of dress I think I'm going to totally go for.  I'm waiting until Jan to dress shop though.. because like I said.. gotta finish losin' the weight!  Its sexy, and very destination wedding-ish.  I really hope its flattering on me.  I'm really not feeling a viel.. so just the dress, and some sort of pretty hair clip or flower to go in my hair.

We'll have the actual wedding ceremony at the MGM Grand in the terrace suite.. which I'll have rented out for the entire weekend (btw, if you're interested in it they give you a 20% discount on the room when you have the ceremony there.. and to have the officient sent up is alot cheaper than their chapel ceremony)  I'm sure we'll rent some chairs to give me some sort of an aisle to walk down..  We had thought about having just a cocktail reception in our suite there, but the FH wanted to feed the guests since they will be traveling to get to our wedding.

After the ceremony we'll all go down and get picked up via bus and taken to where we'll have our reception (at the Wellington Place).  This place is cheap!! They bus you there and back, feed you, have dancing, decorations, cake, all the goodies all in one complete package.  We found this place to be an awesome compromise and I'm excited to see how it's all going to work out.

So after the reception we'll all be bused back.. and I'm thinking that we'll head out to a club with some of the guests and I'll have a dress change. I want something white, sexy, short, and some really sweet looking heels to match.. but thats all to be decided on later I suppose.

I'm just glad I have a rough idea of what we want and that its in the not so very far off future.
