My step-brother is a classical guitarist and he's agreed to play at our ceremony. He asked what we want him to play and right now I'm stumped.
I asked my fiance since he's the music guy, and he said that the "traditional" music to play is Pachabel in D major for the walk down the aisle. I'm not sure that we want anything traditional, though. And we're definitely not going to play "Here Comes the Bride" or whatever it's called because we're Jewish and Wagner has a well-documented and public reputation as an anti-Semite.
I once attended a wedding where the couple hired a band to play "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys, which was by far my favourite processional music to date but if I did the same thing I'd feel like I was copying them. I actually thought that Penny Lane by the Beatles would be nice, but it would sound way better with strings than with a guitar I think.
So, tell me about that you're going to play as you walk down the aisle!
