BM gift/invite/centerpiece update
Hi all! Apparently my 100 day post came and went without my realizing it- busy busy after all.
My mom and I finally got our heads together and made my bridesmaids gifts plus 1 groomsmaid. They are wine glass/coaster combos. And excuse the shameless plug, but the shop on Etsy if you'd like something like this from my mom and I, is InteriorLandscapes.
Mock up centerpieces were made- and its needs a little something extra. The flower in the picture just represents the size of the flower the florist is providing. It needs something, I don't know, softer maybe? for the middle...but its shaping up. Ideas?
We also finally got our invitations ordered. When we ordered them initially I must have looked through a dozen or so books at the print shop of stuff but nothing was dead on what I wanted- a modern twist on a classic wedding invite with a little color and quirk to it. So manager lady came to the rescue and we started putting different cardstocks together and came up with my invite. My FMIL paid the deposit (my parents and his parents are splitting the cost of the invites) which was supposed to be half of the cost. Fine, all was well. Invoice came in with the completed proof with about 300 dollars in mystery charges that obviously didn't match up to the deposit being half. Apparently, when a printing company cuts the cardstock before printing on it, it costs more? I'd never heard of this and I'm confused as to why this is even an option...like they just decide "oh we'll do it the incorrect way unless told otherwise"
My FMIL called the girl back and the girl realized that her printer people had misunderstood her instructions and so we're getting extra invitations with both the printing of the return address on the response envelope and the invitation envelope itself for free. Go FMIL.
