Dye-Crinoline Question

Apr 16, 2009 00:04

Hello, so awhile back I remember hearing about someone dying their crinoline orange through the washing machine. My dress has an attached crinoline so the washing machine deal won't cut it.

Here is the dress in question http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplayView?storeId=10052&catalogId=10051&categoryId=-49986499¤tIdx=6&subCategory=-49998492|-49997957|-49986499&catentryId=6087339

Several other people I've talked to have said that the crinoline barely peeps out the bottom when you walk. So I thought it would be cute to dye just the crinoline teal as a peek-a-boo surprise.

Except that I'm reaaaally worried that I'll get the dye on the dress because I can't separate them. (The dress hasn't officially come in yet, so I won't know if there is a way to detach it until I get it. phooey.)
Any ideas, ladies?

do it yourself, undergarments: crinoline
